Oxana Koppers, founder and director of Musicbox Oxana, was born in Chisinau, the capital of Moldavia. Ever since she was a child, she has been keen on music and began playing the piano at the age of six.
 
Her personality as a talented musician was moulded not only by her Russian roots and her mother tongue, but also by her renowned professors and teachers.
 
Oxana Koppers obtained a degree as a pianist, choir master, chamber soloist, concert master as well as a diploma in piano teaching from the University of Arts (Conservatoire) in Chisinau.
 
She has performed with acclaimed soloists such as Professor Hans Christian Siegert (Violin Concert master and Professor at Folkwang Music School in Essen). Oxana has worked in collaboration with Nicola Christov (Opera singer at Deutsche Oper am Rhein) in duo ‘Kantate’. Since Musicbox Oxana was founded, in 2006, she has mainly committed herself to educating her students.
 
Oxana Koppers strongly believes in personal approach to every student which enables her to motivate and advance them in their studies. Her goals are ambitious, which result in the success of her students, who constantly take part in different music competitions such as Schimmel, Rachmaninov, Bach, Steinway, van Bremen, Goldene Taste, Rotary, Büdinger, Münchener Klavierpodium, and Jugend musiziert.
 
Her teaching methods are based on Russian principles of music education, inspired by outstanding piano virtuosos like Sergej Rachmaninow, Wladimir Horowitz, Sviatoslav Richter, Nikolaj Medtner, Evegeny Kissin and others.
